Beta Bulletin - 12.18.2008
Dear Fraters,

As the semester comes to a close we wish the best to fraters Chad Lucht (accounting major), James Fromm (physical education major), Kevin Springsteen (sports management major) and Justin Miller (graphic design major) as they prepare for their new careers as Beta TKE alumni. They have all had a large impact on this house, and have been instrumental to a number of activities that we have done this semester.

We are also looking forward to ending this semester with a higher GPA than last year, and so far have completed 392 hours of community service putting us well on our way to winning top TKE for the second straight year.
Blood Drive New Restroom
On December 5th we held our last blood drive of the semester in lower RTUC, where we were able to raise 60 units of blood which will be able to help a number of people. Not only did we help to organize the blood drive, but a number of fraters also donated blood themselves. We have also been very actively involved in other community service projects, including philanthropic dances and helping out meals on wheels where we helped fill 102 baskets for Thanksgiving dinners which went to local families in need.

Every day we try and make the house better than the day before, and we are proud to say that we have been very successful in that venture. We have recently finished setting up a brand new girl’s bathroom, which our sweethearts will be painting. We also repainted the chapter room and future projects include putting up shelves in the pantry, and repainting the laundry room. Any help that we could receive from alumni would be greatly appreciated. We are currently the largest fraternity on campus; and with your continued support we can only become bigger and better. Please contact Ethan Buege for more information about donations, or any other way in which you could help our Beta chapter.

This semester, has also brought about some huge changes in this house. We have a brand new executive board, and all but two members have never been on executive board before. We also had a visit from the TKE CEO as he stopped by one evening while doing a tour of Midwestern chapters.

Next semester, is also looking to be one of the most exciting ones in our chapters history. Not only are we looking forward to having a good recruitment class, but we are also looking forward to our hundred years at Millikin University. Plans are already in the works for this event, and we invite all alumni to come by and celebrate this momentous occasion with us.
Holiday Photo
Our house welcomes all alumni to come by and visit any time in order to both see the house as well as talk to us about our Beta Chapter. We thank you for all of the generous donations that you have made, as well as the groundwork that you have laid which has allowed us to make our house the best house on Millikin’s campus.

Yours in the Bond,
The Members of the Beta Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon
